Another Dobrev was listed and sold. This one sold for $277.77 BIN within hours of being listed. After the previous 2 sales that seller might have short changed himself.

While this is nice since I already have my Dobrev it's making me a bit nervous about what the Dobrev auto/costume from VD2 might cost me.

There's a case of TVD Season 1 on eBay for $620 w/free shipping right now (on sale, 10% off). I just picked one up for myself and I'm going to sell/trade the extras. Some of the ones I'm missing add up to over $400 with the going prices, so I figured 'why not?'

I saw that case and actually considered it, but I'm in Canada and it would be another $85 for shipping putting it just outside my comfort zone.

I think I broke nearly 40 cases of this stuff and the last 20 cases had zero dobrevs in them - i had a grand total of four dobrevs that i pulled. so there is a reason her card is so high and the cases are so low.

also, somerhalder and wesley were almost as tough to pull.

That sounds about right. I recall tracking the big hits early on when I was trying to see how tough the M5 was and the big 3 autographs seemed to work out to about 4 for every 3 cases (1.33 per case) with the Dobrev being noticeably tougher than the other 2.

Wow, I guess I got lucky. I ordered 6 boxes when they frist came out and I got a Dobrev and Somerhalder auto, one box had a M4 and another had a M5! Hopefully I can complete my set with the case I just ordered and make some $$ back on the duplicates.

Damn lady- I'd say you were lucky!!! I broke a case and pulled a Somerhalder but no M5 or anything else of real value. Had to buy the rest of the big cards individually.

I can attest to snoopy's opening that many cases. I've been watching his breaks all year. I've been trying to complete this set since May, only trading or using little $$ out of pocket, to do so. It's been no easy feat, that is for sure. I have yet to break 1 box only due to the bad collation. I'm undecided if I'll even get VD2 at this point, being so frustrated.

I only have 2 cards from this set (the Dobrev and Kebbel autos) but for some reason I'm fascinated by the set and the selling prices for certain cards, especially the M4,M5,M20 and A1.
Just looking back it's hard to believe the Dobrev auto originally sold for about $75 and took a while to get to $150 and now it seems comfortably over $300, or that the M4 and M5 started out with sales around $25 and now would be hard to find under $200.

I see an A1 has been listed auction style and is already at $100 after the first few hours, I am curious as to where it ends up.
